Dublin One City One Book Minimize

The Country Girls Trilogy by Edna O'Brien is this years Dublin One City One Book 2019. The first book in the series, The Country Girls, published in 1960, was well ahead of it's time and predicted the feminist revolution. The book was quickly followed by Girl with Green Eyes, published in 1962, and Girls in Their Married Bliss, published in 1964. The books track Cait and Baba, girls from County Clare, through their childhood to life in Dublin and London. If you want to experience life in 1950's and 1960's on the cusp of the feminist revolution, then these are the books for you. A great read, enjoy.

Dublin: One City, One Book is a project designed to encourage everyone in the city to read the same book during the month of April each year. The project promotes reading in a city which boasts one of the world’s greatest literary heritages including four Nobel Laureates. Dublin is a UNESCO City of Literature.

There are lots of free events scheduled during April, Visit the Dublin One City One Book website for more information www.dublinonecityonebook.ie.

Caroline's Corner in Cyberspace is powered by DotNetNuke®, a free Open Source Content Management System. In other words, a pretty fine, user friendly Content Management System for your website. I am using on this website the Text/HTML, Links, MarketShare, Google Adsense, Announcements and Document Modules provided as part of the core product. Over the next few months I will write about my efforts to get a cost effective online shop off the ground using DNN, the shop included in the core product and using Paypal for credit card transactions.

Chinese New Year in London2019 is a new chapter for me and another busy year:

I'm a local candidate in the 2019 Local Elections, more about that when I get the time off from canvassing to update this website.

I'm going for Gold and attempting to see all shakespears Plays in Oxford, Stratford and London. See my Shakespeare Gap Analysis, I'm not doing too badly at all but unfortunately some of us need to work, so it will take me a little longer to get all the plays ticked off my list.

2019 Táim ag siúil go mór leis.

Slán go fóill (bye for now). Caroline
